Hello! My name is Taylor Rhudick and I am the owner, caregiver, treat-dispenser, and big-hearted animal lover behind The Deschutes Pack.

In 2015, I started a dog walking and pet sitting business in a small Massachusetts town that lacked in-home care options. I filled my days visiting a variety of amazing dogs and other pets. Although I was surrounded by animals growing up, that was the first year I had ever walked dogs off-leash. I quickly fell in love with the whole experience of watching them run, play, roll, sniff, and swim. I watched as they enjoyed the freedom to just be a dog. I had found my calling and knew walking dogs would be my career.

In 2018, I made both a difficult and exciting decision to move my business to the West in pursuit of more open spaces and public lands for off-leash dogs. I landed in Bend, Oregon, which feels like a paradise for humans and dogs alike. Exploring the forests, mountains, and desert expanses with my canine companions fills my heart and keeps me excited to go to work every day.

In the rare moments I’m not out with my own or clients dogs, you can find me hiking, biking, rockhounding, or enjoying some Central Oregon sunshine with my nose in a book.
